Mark Your Calendar: Fall Fun in Kensington
Come by the Noyes Foundation table at the Kensington Fall FestivalTHIS SUNDAY(10/18) for crafts and goodies.
Also.... plan to swing by the Pumpkin Rock N' Roll, which takes over Warner Circle Park on Halloween day (10/31).Noyes Library will be open that day.
Author Spotlight: Mary Quattlebaum
More than 20 years ago, Mary Quattlebaum published her first children's book. Her latest, Mighty Mole and Super Soil, came out in September. Read more about the D.C. author and find her books at Noyes and other libraries.
Map of Kensington Benefits Noyes
A charming map of the Town of Kensington by local artist Jim Haynes went on sale in September 2015. The Town commissioned the 22” x 28” illustrated color poster. Proceeds from sales of the poster ($5 each) are being donated to the Noyes Children’s Library Foundation. The posters are being sold at events in town and the Kensington Row Bookshop.

Train Show Chugs Into Town
For the fifth year, All Aboard Kensington filled Town Hall with performers, giveaways, treats, play areas and of course, tons of model trains. The event was a benefit for the Noyes Children's Library Foundation and the Kensington Historical Society.
Noyes at the Labor Day Parade
Dressed as storybook characters, supporters of Noyes Library marched in Kensington's Labor Day Parade, which passes right by the library.
Volunteer With Us
Tenth-grader Hannah Meyer—who has been making and selling owl-shaped chocolates since she was 12 and has raised almost $2,000 for the Noyes Children's Library Foundation—is proof that there are ways for library supporters of any age to get involved.
The foundation is an all-volunteer nonprofit that works to support Noyes, a little library with a big purpose. We're looking to expand our Board and our volunteer base. To get involved with the foundation, contact us!
The Noyes Children’s Library Foundation launched the Make MORE Noyes Campaign to fund a major renovation of the 121-year-old library, making it accessible to those with physical disabilities for the first time in history.
