This week our Senior Colts vs Mt Lofty in the 1st Semi Final at Echunga at 11am. We need a big crowd there to support the lads.
Well done to our Junior Colts & U13's who have moved straight into the Grand Final.
*Breaking News regarding B Grade*
On Monday the HFL determined that we had an ineligible player on the field on Saturday & as a result they have awarded the game to Hahndorf. We will now play either Uraidla or Mt Lofty in the Preliminary Final.
The player in question has played more games in the B Grade this season and was thought to be eligible to play (as per Sporting Pulse), but as per one of the HFL by-laws, he has been ruled ineligible. The HFL recognise that as we did apply for other permits, which were granted, we had done our due diligence and were not trying to do anything against the spirit of the game. The HFL also acknowledge that had we applied for this permit it would have been granted automatically.
The BFC Committee take full responsibility for this oversight & advise that we will not be pursuing this matter further. We apologise to all players & members and will endeavour to improve the structure and efficiency our Football Department. We thank you for your understanding in this matter.
