Mayfield Estate
Mayfield Estate, Cranbourne, is nestled within a three hectare woodland reserve. PTA Landscapes completed a significant landscaping project at the estate for Lend Lease Communities. Designed by Aspect Studios, the project included a children's nature garden, conservation reserve and open space.
A network of walking paths track through the revegetated natural woodlands, through the children's nature garden and past the aboriginal cultural area to the large, open, grassed space complete with sports goals.
The Children Nature Garden  is home to a range of interactive play equipment specially designed to engage with children and encourage sensory and natural play. The central focal point of the play space is a climbing structure in the form of a birds nest, which is centered around an old oak tree. The bird's nest play structure features a fire pole, voice tubes, slides and monkey bars.
Working with the PTA Landscapes crew at the Mayfield Children's Garden landscape project was great. The team ensured a high standard of housekeeping and site security at all times. They displayed great safety leadership skills and worked well with the crews, setting expectations and making sure works were conducted safely. The crew participated in safety walks where good results were achieved. I would happily have PTA Landscapes working for us again at Lend Lease Communities and hope to work with the team in the future.

The "Birds Nest" play structure, along with the surrounding structures and play equipment were meticulously constructed by PTA Landscapes.
The playground area surrounding the nest features a sand pit, swings, musical play elements and a cry river bed. The Mayfield Children's Nature Garden is situated near a BBQ area complete with picnic tables a shelter and free public WiFi.
PTA Landscapes’ construction works also included earthworks, drainage works, concrete pavements, in-situ concrete walls, electrical, furniture and fixtures, garden bed, planting and grassing works.
PTA Landscapes are busy constructing some amazing spaces at the moment including the Innovation and College Walk at Monash University.
They have also recently completed projects at the Eastern Golf Club in Yering, a small parkway in Ross Street, Toorak and a Child Care Centre in Oakleigh. Like their Facebook Page or follow their Instagram or LinkedIn Page for updates on these and many more projects.
