Grateful for His Grace
From Janet Fierbach, Director:
“Women’s Heart-Engaging Network is committed to providing opportunities for women to gather, to share their stories and to encourage each other. Together, we explore how the grace of God can bring hope, strength and order to our lives and to the lives of those around us.â€
The words in bold resonate deep in my heart and I thank God for the privilege of being part of this grand commitment!
This fall, as we give of our resources and time to make WHEN a place where women can discover God’s grace, let's be encouraged by the apostle Paul’s words to describe the wonderful news we share – Glorious grace! Freely given! Overflowing to many! Incomparably great! Abundant provision! Surpassing riches! Sufficient for you!
I thank God for each of you and I am praying Paul’s words for all our guests, team members and financial partners. May the eyes of your heart be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. (Ephesians 1:18-19)

God At Work
Sandra was touched deeply at the Spanish WHEN event in April as she listened to her friend Olga share how Jesus’ promise of eternal life had filled her with hope when her mother was dying.
“I had flashbacks as she was describing her story because I was part of that story. I remembered when we used to pray together, when we were at Karla's home group and I started questioning myself, ‘Why did I stop praying? Why did I change my priorities?’
After the brunch, I heard God saying to me, ‘Come back, I have always been by your side even when you haven't noticed’. I felt I needed to restore my relationship with God, so I asked Karla if I could come back to the Life Group and if I could attend church. Now I want to recognize and proclaim Jesus in my life publicly and let my family see my commitment.â€
This past July, Sandra was baptized at Coastal Church!

New Resources for Growth
We celebrated our 7th anniversary for WHEN this past summer! Having hosted over 30 events and formed 4 new teams since the beginning, it is safe to say that the WHEN processes and strategies have been working side by side with God's plans. As the ministry continues to grow, we realized it was time to think about the best way to share these processes with our teams and with any new teams that God blesses us with in the future.
As a result, we created the WHEN Online Portal - resources when you need them. It is a website that acts as an online manual for running the WHEN strategy and provides easy access to our resources for volunteers so that they can be encouraged and empowered. This helps our teams run more effectively and efficiently, and gives us the ability to continue to multiply!

Thankful for our Power to Change Team
|
|
The goal of our WHEN team at Power to Change is to serve the volunteers through equipping and providing administrative support and financial accountability. This fall we are saying a huge thank you to our ministry developer Dana Franklin and to Evelyn Mah, our Administration and Event Coordinator, as they move on. In the year they have been with us, Dana has helped to connect women in the Fraser Valley to WHEN and Evelyn has taken WHEN's systems to a whole new level of effectiveness and efficiency!

One of Dana's joyful gifts to WHEN - organizing our resources!
We are thankful that God has called Taryn Demchuk to take Evelyn's place. Taryn is a recent graduate of Summit Pacific College with a degree in Not-For-Profits and Leadership. Feel free to contact Taryn to say welcome or for any help:
