New board members

New members join The Marches LEP Board as Chairman re-appointed  

The Marches LEP has appointed five new members to its business-led board who bring with them a range of industry experience from the private sector.  Each will serve for a two year period.

LEP Chairman Graham Wynn OBE has also been re-appointed to his role and will be supported by existing board members, Mandy Thorn MBE and Paul Hinkins, who assume the roles of Vice Chairs.

The Marches LEP announced in June that as it moved to a mature phase of development focused on the delivery of a full programme of work, it would require additional skills from a wider pool of experience.

Natural investment prospectus launched for The Marches

 

Available to view on the LEP website, the prospectus demonstrates how businesses are making good returns on investment in natural resources like water and green infrastructure. 

Family firm to create jobs as part of latest investment on Skylon Park 

A firm of Herefordshire toolmakers will more than double in size and create new jobs with a move onto the city’s Enterprise Zone.

Work is under way to create a 2,600 sq ft manufacturing and office facility for Pearson Precision Toolmakers Ltd at Skylon Park in Rotherwas.

Three generations of the Pearson family – father Benjamin, son Conrad and grandson Samuel, pictured above – currently run the 15-year-old business from a rented 1,100 sq ft unit in Ravenswood Court.

Pearson Precision counts major brands including Bosch, Jaguar LandRover, Honda, British Aerospace and British Nuclear Power among its customers. Read more
