HOMECOMING SUNDAY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4
On Sunday, October 4, our church will celebrate over 140 years of Christian service in Birmingham. We will begin our Homecoming celebration with morning worship at 10:15 am, which will include a special performance from our new chime choir, along with the dedication of the chimes and new choir robes. Following worship, we will have a potluck lunch in the Christian Life Center. This will be a special time of fellowship, renewing friendships, and sharing sweet memories. Please mark your calendars for this special day of celebration.

Fall Sermon Series
Calling the church a building makes about as much sense as calling a person a 2x4. Church isn’t some place we go; church is who we are. Join us in worship this Sunday as Rev. Troy Tatum concludes our latest sermon series, “Stop Going to Church...and Start Being the Church.”
Sept. 27: “Into the Deep”
Luke 5:1-11

HOW CAN YOU HELP? GLAD YOU ASKED...
It's that time of year again, School, football, and Sunday nights at church! Our students are excited about the opportunity to spend time together and grow in their faith as they learn to follow Jesus more completely. And we all know it just wouldn't be the same without food, right? We would appreciate it if you would consider signing up for a meal one week. We are using sign-up genius to help track each week and we think it will make everything simpler. All you have to do is click the link below for a list of available dates, choose one that works for you and sign up. You're welcome to team up with others, just choose a point person to sign up. Please remember, if you would like to be reimbursed, save your receipts and give them to Donnette Mee or Robin and we'll make sure you get a check. Also, you can apply those receipts to your giving statement if you'd like to make it a tax deduction.
Check out our schedule and sign up today!
Information on how much to prepare is on the sign up page, but if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
