Salem Covenant Church new brand and website launched!
Over the summer, Malley Design was excited to help Salem Covenant Church in New Brighton, MN, revision its identity and create a new website, which launched Sept. 13.
The SCC logo capitalizes on past logo versions and the recognizable nature of the church’s landmark cross + steeple to communicate the “rooted” nature of the church. The logo also communicates the “growing” nature of the community by incorporating organic leaf shapes and focusing on upward motion.
Included in Salem’s brand refresh, Malley Design…
- met with key staff members to gather input for a guiding Creative Brief
- conducted an Internal Brand Survey to gather input from congregants and identify key characteristics of the church brand
- performed a Brand Audit of the previous identity system
- developed Brand Strategy and Key Messaging documentation
- created a fresh, new logo and color palette with Brand Manual to support it
- and redesigned the church's Core Identity Materials
With a smooth launch this past Sunday, lining up with Salem’s fall kick-off, the new website is built on WordPress, features fully responsive design, and added key functionality in the areas of event management, sermon posting and sharing, and introduced a coordinated color scheme to identify the church's key ministry areas.
While rebuilding Salem’s website, Malley Design…
- performed extensive research through the Brand Audit and surveys conducted, as well as explored Salem’s competition and inspiration
- redesigned Salem’s User Experience by developing a new site map with page reorganization and reductions
The Malley Design team really enjoys digging in on extensive brand projects where we are able to develop a full system. We are excited to see where this new brand tool set takes our client, in terms of new growth and overall brand engagement.
