Church School After worship this Sunday, adults join Kelley Gutman in Schmidt Hall to talk about art journaling as a spiritual practice, and give it a try! Some materials provided. Bring a journal if you'd like. Kids ages 3 through 5th grade, gather upstairs for a lesson from A Joyful Path and a discussion “Who or What is God?â€
Youth Bowling Sunday @ 6 p.m. MPC’s youth groups are kicking off the new year of activities with bowling at Kellogg Bowl at 6 p.m. $10 buys two games with shoes. Parents welcome!
Cooperative Game Night Everyone is invited to join us for a night of tabletop games on Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. Cooperative games are team focused games where players work together to beat the game instead of each other. Come connect with your church family!
Parking Lot Updates With the opening of the Orange Line, we’ve seen an increase in our Park & Ride use! The two rows closest to Lake Road are reserved for commuters Monday – Friday, during the day. The lot will be sealed and repainted the week of 9/28. This won’t affect worship on Sunday, but may impact weekday use.
Backpack Buddies Donation Drive MPC Backpack Buddies provides weekend food for school children in homes with food insecurity. We are accepting small plastic jars of peanut butter, 9- 20 oz. cereal, instant oatmeal packets, and small raisin boxes during Sept. and Oct. for Oak Grove Elementary. Please see the Donation Corner in the narthex for questions and a shopping list.
Other Photo Directory Updates: Couldn’t make the September dates? Portraits will also be taken Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17. Sign up in the Narthex on Sundays or online at milwaukiepres.org (Monday-Saturday). Volunteers needed to greet people as they arrive to have portraits taken. Do you have good photos of recent church events? Give them to Jackie Freeman for possible inclusion in the directory collage pages. They will be returned to you.
