Muslims Against Human Trafficking

Advocacy & Social Services:

This Eid Help Us End Slavery!

Join Muslims Against Human Trafficking

In 2010, 29 Muslim gang members were arrested in Columbus, Ohio for trafficking minor Muslim girls in three states for ten years. Many of their victims were targeted because they had run away from abuse at the hands of their families. There are many gangs like them operating across our country.
  • Human trafficking is modern day slavery, where a  person is compelled to perform labor and/or commercial sex through the use of fraud, violence, threats, and other type of coercion.
  • Human trafficking is a $150 billion industry worldwide, and that 20.9 million people are living in slavery globally.   (The International Labor Organization)
  • Sex trafficking accounts for 58 percent of all human trafficking cases that are investigated around the world. Women and girls account for 75 percent of trafficking victims.  (United Nations Office of Drugs & Crime)
  • A pimp can make $150,000 - $200,000 per year per child in USA. An average pimps has 4-6 girls (slaves). The slaves include girls from all kinds of backgrounds, ethnicities, races, faith groups, and socio-economic status.  (The United States Justice Department)
That's why, MY Project USA has now launched a new initiative, "Muslims Against Human Trafficking."  Under this initiative, we are working on both prevention and intervention side. We are organizing trainings for various groups of volunteers and community members. We are also working on opening a shelter for the victims and at risk youth. Please join us on Facebook and empower us through your donations. Your support will help us expedite our work and might help in saving several lives and families.

This is a great way to earn rewards on one of the most blessed day in an Islamic year. Sign up to help or donate money to support the kitchen.
