CITY OF WEST RICHLAND
Cloacina is proud to announce its newest client, The City of West Richland, located in Washington State! The City of West Richland hired the Wallace Group, an engineering firm in San Luis Obispo, CA, with a division specializing in wastewater treatment plants, to design a system capable of meeting re-use requirements for a forward-thinking industrial complex being built next to Red Mountain AVA to serve existing and several future winery clients Cloacina provided the City with two options: A Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) and a Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR). The City awarded Cloacina the contract for the MBR option largely due to its ability to handle variable organic loading coupled with the high-quality permeate being suitable for re-use, which is the ultimate goal for the MBR permeate. Cloacina’s MBR, The MEMPAC®, will allow the City to eventually re-use the water and reduce flows to the regional wastewater plant by as much as 50,000 Gallons Per Day (GPD). The MEMPAC® will be installed and operational in time for the 2016 crush.
