COMPETITIONS

NEW
Breakwater Chicago is an entertainment island built on a passenger vessel on Lake Michigan. This is a unique design challenge in which you can win a $5,000 award. Deadline is October 25, 2015.
NEW
The selected site for the future Vietnamese Cultural Garden, 711 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in Cleveland, OH, is toward the North side of the Cultural Garden and backs up to Rockefeller Park Greenhouse.  It is an area approximately 50 ft wide by 150 ft long, stretching from North to South. As one of the first steps in mobilizing support to make the VNCG a reality after many years of laying the ground work, we are excited to announce a Design Competition for our site.  The challenge is to design a "garden" that celebrates the culture of Vietnam and its people.  This is to be an outdoor installation with outdoor structures (monuments, statuaries, benches, walls, etc) and landscaping in mind.  Our theme is "Dragon and Fairy Descendants" ("Con Rồng Cháu Tiên") as this is the folklore that talks about our origin as Vietnamese people. Deadline is November 30, 2015. flyer
