Papal Pancakes

Students are invited to join us for breakfast and a live broadcast of Pope Francis' address to a joint meeting of the United States Congress this Thursday, Sept. 24 in the Coleman-Morse Center First-floor Student Lounge. Pancakes will be served at 8:45 a.m. and the broadcast will begin at 9:15 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

Sisters of Life Visit

Campus Ministry Women's Vocations will host the Sisters of Life on Friday, Oct. 2. Female students have two opportunities to meet with the Sisters that day. Sign up for individual conferences here and/or RSVP for a luncheon with the Sisters the same day from 12:15 to 2 p.m. here. Please register by Sept. 27. The Sisters will also facilitate a student retreat in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel inside Geddes Hall on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. This retreat is limited to 25 people. Graduate First Friday Dinner

Friday, Oct. 2 marks the next monthly Graduate Student First Friday Fellowship Dinner. All post-baccalaureate students, family and friends are invited to attend the dinner that begins at 6:15 p.m. in the Coleman-Morse Center First-floor Student Lounge. Food and kid-friendly activities will be provided. If you plan to attend, please RSVP by 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29 here
 
 

Laudato Lunch

Join the Center for Social Concerns, the Minor in Sustainability and Campus Ministry for reflection and community-building in the spirit of Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato Si' on Friday, Sept. 25 at 12:30 p.m. in the Geddes Hall Coffeehouse. At this lunch, we will discuss Pope Francis' speech to the UN on Sept. 24 and the writings of some of the speakers at the upcoming Climate Investing conference hosted by the Mendoza College of Business. Montreal Pilgrimage

Every fall break, Campus Ministry makes a pilgrimage to Canada and the Oratory of St. Joseph, which was built through the inspiration of St. Andre Bessette, the first Holy Cross religious to be canonized a saint. The pilgrimage is open to all undergraduate and graduate students from the University of Notre Dame, Holy Cross College and St. Mary's College. Learn more and register here.
 

Movie Watch "Rudy"

Students are invited to join Campus Ministry for a free screening of "Rudy" on Friday, Oct. 2 at 9:30 p.m. in the Coleman-Morse Center First-floor Student Lounge. Ranked by ESPN as one of the 25 best sports movies of all time, "Rudy" is an absolute must see for any Notre Dame student. Free popcorn and soft drinks will be served. 









 

Sponsors Needed

Catholic sponsors are needed for the fall Sacramental Preparation Short Course. The Short Course serves as a one-semester condensed process of Sacramental Preparation for baptized students completing their initiation into the Catholic Church. Sponsors celebrate Mass and all catechetical sessions with their candidates. For more information, please email Brett Perkins

Have you ever considered becoming a priest or brother? Learn more about religious life and the Congregation of Holy Cross by joining in community for conversation, pizza, prayer and possibilities on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. at Corby. Understanding Catholicism II

On Monday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m., Campus Ministry's Brett Perkins and Priscilla Wong will lead "Understanding Catholicism II: Christianity Through the Lens of the Basilica." This session will explore Christian beliefts/practices as reflected through the art, architecture and furnishings of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. The session is open to students, faculty and staff of all faith traditions or none at all. Please plan to meet in front of the Basilica. 




 

Communicating Effectively

What communicative processes help or hinder a relationship? How can we learn to effectively pick up on cues from those we are interested in beyond the realm of dating? Students are invited to join the Gender Relations Center and Campus Ministry on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. in Washington Hall to discuss the process of effective communication and address common communication challenges and solutions. The discussion will feature relationship expert Dr. Beth Ribarsky.
