New Plan: Legal Certainty

The Commission has told MEPs and ministers that it has no 'plan B' if the proposals to enable national bans on the use of GMOs is rejected. The turned down propsal could at long last reinstate the much needed legal certainty for the whole food and feed value chain, and align GMO approvals with the timely approvals of all other regulated products, argues Nathalie Moll, EuropaBio Secretary General.

Two weeks to go to EuropaBio Conference on Personalised Medicine

On 12 October, EuropaBio will bring together key European policy-makers and civil society representatives to discuss the scientific, social and economic benefits of personalised medicines, as well as of other healthcare biotechnology products and ways to tackle the key challenges for improving patients’ access to these therapies. Healthcare biotech

On 28 September, EuropaBio will attend a conference organised by the European Commission entitled "50 years of EU Pharma Legislation: Achievements and Future Perspectives". The event will bring together various stakeholders involved in healthcare to explore the history of the EU legislation on pharmaceuticals since its first acts were adopted in 1965, and debate the role of EU public health authorities going forward.
