Smoke Alarm Battery Test
In August 2015, Petersburg Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services submitted a grant to Energizer’s “Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery” Program to obtain batteries to continue the Smoke Alarm program in Petersburg.

On September 24, the department was awarded 384 batteries. During the course of a calendar year, the Fire Department installs an average of 545 batteries in residences throughout the city; therefore, this grant will be a wonderful attribute to the program.
