Erase your library fines and support the Platteville Food Pantry all in one shot. From September 20 - October 4, for each canned or packaged food or non-food item you bring in, we’ll waive $1.00 of your fines. You win, the library wins, and the food pantry wins.
A few caveats: we can't accept expired items, home-made items, or fresh food. Non-glass containers are preferred. Lost fines, damage fees, and processing fees cannot be waived through Food for Fines.

The people who make our catalog are constantly working to update and improve it. One of the latest improvements is the ability to take a large, general search and find a small group of specific things that you want. Here's an example.
1. I want toddler board books about apples to read with my preschooler this fall. First, I'll search all headings for "apples."
2. I'm only interested in books right now, so I'm going to pick "book" from the material types on the left side.
3. I want to get my books from my local library, so I'm going to pick "Platteville Public Library" as the owning library on the left.
4. I'm going to go an extra step and pick the "Juvenile - Toddler Books" from the list of library collections.
5. Ta da! I've found two toddler books at the Platteville Public Library with apples.
If you don't find what you're looking for or you run into problems with the catalog, please let us know. We're here to help!
