In order to understand the information needs of young scholars, I had conducted a short survey asking for the types of content deemed interesting and helpful by the young scholars in our community. One of the main outcomes of the survey was that the respondents wanted to learn from the experience of other young scholars about some of the important next steps they still have ahead for themselves. For this reason, I thought of establishing an "Interview Series" that seeks to do exactly that. For the first issue in this series, I had an interesting discussion with Martin Holzhacker who has experienced working at two universities in Europe and one in the US.
