MovieRide FX nominated Best Software Innovation 2015

We're proud to announce that our advanced mobile video compositing system has been nominated for Best Software Innovation 2015 at The Technology Expo Awards in London.

  • The MovieRide FX app built using this software is one of six finalists in the Best Software Innovation Award category.  The Technology Expo 2015 is set to showcase the next generation in technology & innovation and examine how we reach higher level solutions by bringing emerging technologies into context for enhanced UX.

  • In response to our user requests and suggestions, the latest Android version of MovieRide FX now offers a Free movie of the day allowing users limited access to all the movies on offer for free.

  • Our Android ratings are rising steadily towards a full 4 stars, as a result of enhancements and language optimisation, while iOS remains at a 5 star rating.

  • Since our last newsletter we have added another 7 movie templates to the storefront: Dino Chase, Tactical Strike, Splat Gun, Thunderbolt, Master of Storms, Spell Caster and Fairy Dust.

  • The Headless Horseman template recently completed production and will hopefully be launched in time for Halloween this year.

  • Our initial Facebook marketing test and monitoring revealed that we reached the top 100 in 3 countries and the top 500 in 7 countries which included being in the top 200 in the U.S. in the entertainment category according to App Annie data analytics. To date we have not yet embarked on an official marketing campaign.

  • MovieRide FX 'Engine' enhancements such as user video stabilization, custom text, dual pass and many other features are also set to be released with future updates.

Growing licensing potential

Waterston Entertainment showcased MovieRide FX at various licensing and tech industry expo's in the U.S. and U.K. and continues to explore the potential creative uses of their system as a consumer interactive marketing and entertainment tool.

  • 'Content is King' and Waterston Entertainment is looking to partner with brands & content owners to create additional branded content for the MovieRide FX storefront.  This way, brands can 'distribute' their own content for consumers to personalize and share. Brands also have the option of their own app with product branding, that offers their consumers a 'user personalized' video experience.

  • Andy Milligan will be joining us as a licensing agent for MovieRide FX in the United States with a specific focus on the music industry and re-imagining music video content for 'video karaoke' apps using the MovieRide FX 'engine'.

  • Willem Botha is also exploring the creative possibilities of linking the MovieRide FX concept to 'radio' in South Africa, potentially providing radio stations and their advertisers an additional platform that link their campaigns to social media in an entertaining and interactive way.
