top up defibrillator shortfall of £300

PRESS INVITE
2PM THURS 24TH SEPT

Handover of 1000 first edition books to Caroline Wedd
Hawksworth Graphics and Print, Uttoxeter.

6.15PM MON 28 SEPT (BEFORE LAUNCH EVENT) TO TAKE PHOTOS OF:
Caroline Wedd - Chris Podmore (Owner of The Tavern) - Matthew Hawksworth (Hawksworths Graphics and Print Ltd) - Members of Denstone Parish Council (Denstone Defibrillator Fund)
Due to local demand, the limited first edition paperback of The Walnut Tree will launch at The Tavern at Denstone. Wedd will read from the book, host a Q&A session about her publishing journey and the storyline, and perform (sing and play the guitar) The Walnut Tree love song : "You don't need words."
This event marks the start of a local and national tour of bookshops and locations for signings/readings as far afield as Birmingham, Manchester and London.
Wedd explains: "I'll give £1 from every book sold on Monday 28th September, or pre ordered and collected on the night, to the Denstone Village Defibrillator Fund.

This is one small way in which I can say 'thank you' to all the local people who have encouraged and supported me during the last twelve months, whilst I've been working to publish The Walnut Tree. I'd love to sell 300 books and fill the funding gap!"

'Carrie smiled; she was an eternal optimist.'
from The Walnut Tree
Family-run business in Uttoxeter, Hawksworth Graphics and Print Ltd were chosen by Wedd to bring the limited edition paperback novel to life.

Wedd explains: "I wanted to invest the costs of printing The Walnut Tree into a local firm. Hawksworth Graphics have been exemplary; they have gone out of their way to help me with this process. I can't thank them enough!
