Spanish Farmers Back GM Technology

On September 11, about 150 farmers from the South of Spain gathered to debate the role of innovation and the benefits of biotech for the farming sector. The conference, organized by ASAJA-Cádiz, revealed how new technologies can improve farm management. Beat Späth and Pedro Narro, both EuropaBio representatives, highlighted that Bt maize in the country is a success story which helps farmers be competitive on the global market.
