I’m just coming back to the digital world after a 5-day hiatus. I attended a five day speaker training intensive that pushed me way out of my comfort zone. Anyone who knows me knows, I have the gift of gab, yet, get antsy at the thought of speaking on stages. I walk my talk and believe that life is all about living your passion and doing the things you feel called to do, even when it feels scary…especially when it feels scary.  I’ve helped countless women ( and some men) get paid to speak on stages and now I’m stepping up and doing it for myself. Last night as I collapsed on my couch I felt proud that I stayed committed through my fear….

Then this morning as I logged into my email, after being away for a week, the sad messages filled my inbox. I read email after email of the devastating news that one of the most beloved men in the lifestyle design blogsphere passed away this weekend. I am in a state of shock. I knew him personally and probably wouldn’t have started my blog if it wasn’t for Scott Dinsmore. I used to pour over his blog posts when I lived in Ecuador, sweating from the oppressive heat, yet getting inspired by Scott’s optimisim. He’s who made me believe I should write about my experience. He’s one of the first that helped me believe that I can create a movement from my mission. When I moved to Northern California I had the pleasure of attending happy hour gatherings with him and even group dinners from time to time.

Today’s blog feels more relevant than ever and I feel more committed to creating change in the world more than ever. If you’ve been talking about making a change in your life, do it today because tomorrow is not promised. If you’ve been dreaming of making the world a better place, make moves now because tomorrow isn’t promised. If you know you are being called to make a difference in the world. Now.Is.The.Time.

I’m so grateful Scott never said he’s too busy, too young, too unavailable to do what he was called to do. Because he said “yes” to making his dreams come true, the world will forever benefit from his contribution. Here’s to you Scott, thank you for shining your light, you truly made your mark on the world.

Love,
Jennifer
