Jesus: Storyteller
Part 3 - Who Is My Neighbor?
This week's parable shows that we can have three possible attitudes toward the people in our lives that we work with and live around us.
Phil Thompson explores this story, Sunday.

Aldea Kids
The kids will continue reading the stories of Jesus, this week it's “The Sower and His Seeds.”  In reading it, it struck me that the story might be just as much about the “sower” as it is about the “ground” that he sows his seeds into.  Maybe before the soil of a person’s heart can be sown with the seeds of God’s word, we as sowers need to take some time to tend to the well-being of that soil.  Has it been fed with understanding and watered with compassion?   Does it have basic survival needs taken care of?  Maybe if we focus on just tending soil, God will take care of the growth.
Be with us at 9:00 & 10:30 AM this Sunday.

Youth First  Youth First, session one was great! We watched a Rob Bell video and talked about having purpose in life.  We also planted some symbolic trees of Eden.  Our next Youth First session will be on Oct 4 and we expect even more youth to attend since it will not be a holiday weekend. For more info email Michelle, info@LovePeriod.org

Prayer of the Week
Like a flower opening slowly,
so is my faith.
Each experience, each step,
another petal unfolding,
until, standing in bright sunlight,
nurtured in God's love,
I blossom. Amen
