Kick-Out-Poverty: Fair Trade Charity Football Match 2015
Fair Trade Hong Kong will hold the The 2nd Fair Trade Football Match on 17th October, the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. But what is the relation between Fair Trade and football?

Pakistan is the major global source of hand stitched sports balls, supplying over 70% of the world's demand, even producing the World Cup football. Skilled women can sew 5 to 7 footballs per day. However, they can only earn a little by every football they stitched, therefore, they need their children to help. This leads to a child labour problem and affects children's opportunities to receive education.

Under the Fairtrade Certificate system, workers can receive reasonable salaries to support their basic life expenses and provide education to their children. Their working environments have also improved.
Fair Trade Ambassador Programme is now recruiting!
As a tertiary student, you can gain an understanding of Fair Trade, exchange view on trade system and producers story with Local Fair Trade traders and organize your own events by joining the Fair Trade Ambassador Programme.

Fair Trade Hong Kong Foundation was in NOPA 2015 during Aug 26 - 28!
First of all, we would like to give our special thanks to Diversified Communications Hong Kong for creating such a great platform for contemporary healthy lifestyle - Natural & Organic. Together with our partners we shared the best Fair Trade products and messages at the show and met with business professionals from different parts of the world.
Through this precious opportunity  we believe the little seed of Fair Trade have been planted in some people’s mind and we definitely hope to see their growth in the near future. We are also looking forward to more fruitful partnerships with different parties – fair organizers, fair traders, fair brands and fair consumers, please do come and join us!

Fairtrade & Organic Tea Tasting

By Wai Yu Lam, Operations Manager of Yisheng Organic

“It was our pleasure to share our Fairtrade & Organic tea stories and tea at NOPA. At Yisheng, one of our mission is to bring customers closer to our farmers. During the exhibition, we were able to show that through Fairtrade we have the power to improve lives in the impoverish regions in China. In pursuit of great tasting Fairtrade & Organic tea, we can create positive impact to our environment and framers’ lives.  And we thank you all for stopping at our booth!”
