The holidays will be a time of special fellowship and celebration for our ATCC family.
On Sunday, November 19 we will have aThanksgiving meal for our communion service. We are looking forward to this time of celebrating all we are thankful for with our spiritual family.
We are having a Christmas program this year on Sunday, December 10 at 10 AM at the Nunn Winston House at Keisel Park! The show is called "The Awaited One," and features performances by ATCC members. Following the program, we will have a worship service, and an awesome holiday fellowship lunch. Invite your friends! The best blessings of the holidays have to do with giving. Those who would like to serve can help with the Christmas Party we are giving at the Friendship Mission in Montgomery on Saturday, December 16. See Jessica Delgado to help, and for more information.
If you were baptized in the past 12 months, you are invited to a luncheon just for you!! New Christians are invited to attend a special fellowship meal on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 12 PM to 2 PM at the home of Mike and Marge Gross. Plan to have an awesome time, with activities that will strengthen your faith and your relationships.

ATCC Attends Ceremony

Several ATCC members attended the HOPE worldwide award ceremony for Fred Gray in Tuskegee on November 2. HOPE worldwide, which in the past has honored Nelson Mandela, Jimmy Carter and Mother Theresa, created a new award, the Lifetime Service Award, to present to Gray.
"We wanted to expand the award to give it to someone whose whole life has been dedicated to justice, mercy and faithfulness," explained HOPE CEO Robert Carrillo, who traveled to Tuskegee to present the award. "Gray is the trifecta: he’s a civil rights hero, he’s a very Godly man, and he’s devoted his entire life to helping others,”
Carrillo went on to say that Gray exemplifies the character qualities it seeks to promote. “We have thousands of young volunteers, and Mr. Gray is the type of person we want to hold up as a role model to them.,"
“I never imagined that a worldwide international organization would honor me,” Gray said. “As a teenager in Montgomery, I saw problems that needed to be corrected. With a lot of help along the way from a lot of people, including divine help, I believe we have been instrumental in changing the landscape of America.”
The awards ceremony was also attended by Wade Cook, HOPE's vice president for US and Caribbean operations, and his wife, Debbie, who serves as Executive Assistant for US Programs for HOPE. Several members of the media were there, including representatives of WSFA TV, the Montgomery Advertiser and the Tuskegee News.
After the ceremony, Gray conducted a tour of the Tuskegee History Center, and told stories from days as a Civil Rights attorney. “The history of the civil rights movement must be preserved for future and present generations,” Gray said.
