God bless!

Breaking Bread!

We had the opportunity to visit our brothers in both Avon Lake and Wooster Ohio that have been immense blessings for our ministry and were excited to share what would be happening in the next month. We enjoyed getting to meet them for the first time, to break bread, and pray with them. We are thankful for all the support both financial and spiritual that we have received. We pray that once we settle down they will come down for a short-term mission trip and help us reach and touch the heart of the community!
Kingsway Mobilization

In the beginning of the October we had the opportunity to visit our brothers and sisters at Kingsway Christian Church and assist in their mobilization service to invite people to serve in a mission trip. It was a blessing to be part of their service and see how God was working, more than 500 people signed up to go in a mission trip in 2018.

It’s true that there is much work and many people to reach in the USA, but when you take the opportunity and give 2% of your year (7 days) and serve those around the world, you bless them more than you believe plus you empower them to step up in leadership, to love each other and to get closer to God. However going on a mission trip not only blesses those communities you go to, but also it will help many of you to better serve here in the USA by opening your heart and mind, to step up back at your own churches. I encourage you to step up and go on a mission trip, no matter the destination, you can be blessed and be a blessing.
Mission Trip

We know that we should be focusing on our move but we are excited to have gone down to Mexico the last two weeks of October and take the opportunity to get our hands dirty. During those weeks we helped on the construction of the hospital in the Biznaga area, a much needed facility to be able to address the physical needs of the community, and opening the doors for spiritual discipleship. This project started a few months ago but is moving forward in a speedy way. And we are blessed that God is the one leading this ministry through the lives of Dr. Esly and Dr. Sandy Fuentes. As I mentioned in a previous newsletter, when we move to Mexico we will be working side by side with them helping with the spiritual and mental needs of the patients that attend the clinic and hospital, by providing counseling. Please pray so God will begin working on the hearts of the people so we will be able to plant the seed, and see God working on the lives of the community.

We also had the blessing during our time there to help in leadership training.  People from the community and other churches gathered for two weeks to receive tools to be able to impact and be the church that God intended us all to be, to be disciple makers. We talked about looking at our limitations, searching humbly for help, setting  a vision, empowering people, and making disciples.  Maybe all this sounds like something you hear a lot in the churches in America, but in the Hispanic community it’s something that is desperately needed, a church that its able to multiply, not just add to, to be the church that God wants us to be. This is a need that we want to address when we move down to Mexico! We will work side by side with local leaders around Mexico and Latin America and help them grow so they can impact their local culture. I’m grateful for all who have contributed by sharing their material for the last couple of years, as I have been translating all that material into Spanish so it will be a great blessing to all Hispanic Churches around Latin America.
We Are Almost There!

We also can’t believe that we are getting closer to the moving date! We have been  working at the church as members of the congregation have begun taking charge and splitting responsibility. They are hoping that God will send someone to continue the work, but for the moment they are taking charge. It is such a blessing to be able to hear them preach and hear their spiritual maturity. We have the certainty that faith will be a blessing to those around them and we ask that you pray for them as the task that they are taking is not an easy one, but with the Lord nothing is impossible.

As our time to move draws closer we are finalizing steps, it’s more paperwork than I thought, I’m personally not a fan of moving from one place to another and going to another country does have some challenges. I’m grateful for Abdiel who will be helping me on this adventure and I ask that you pray for safe travel.

We have calculated that it will cost around $2400 to move our stuff to Mexico, we have sold the items that will not have any value moving with us, and kept stuff that would be useful or be more expensive to repurchase. It is a big expense but we know that God will provide and help us during this process.  We ask that you pray for God to provide for the moving process.

We are excited and nervous as it would be a big change for my family but we know that God will help us grow from here and we pray that God will use us for the Glory of his kingdom. Please keep us in your prayers!

In His Name
