Trail Conditions Update – 11/14/17
The cold temps over the past couple of weeks helped sufficiently freeze the ground to permit riding without potential damage.  The forecast for the short term calls for warming, rain and snow – so riders will continue to need to exercise good judgement when deciding to ride. It should be noted that ski trails should also be avoided during this time as well.  Ski trails can be even more vulnerable as the grassy surfaces hold water creating a sponge-like surface. Thanks for your consideration of the trails.

Deer Season is Upon Us
The Wisconsin firearms deer season will open this Saturday, November 18 and run through Sunday, November 26.  TRAIL RIDING DURING THIS TIME IS NOT ADVISED for obvious safety reasons.  Night riding, after 5 pm is a viable option, and if you’re looking for an unusual ride, you might check out Jerry Wright’s annual Gut Pile Ride on Saturday, Nov. 18 on the Ojibwe Trail.
