Community Thanksgiving Dinner. Members of Abiding Grace are invited to help serve the Community Thanksgiving Dinner at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Irving this Saturday, November 18. Helpers are needed from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Also, if you still have food for the Good Shepherd Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry, please bring it to church no later than Wednesday—the food will be delivered to Irving this Thursday, November 16, at 9:30 a.m.
Southlake Tree Lighting. This Saturday, November 18, attend the tree lighting in Town Square with Taylor. We will meet at the Starbucks corner at 5:15 p.m., grab some hot chocolate, and then watch the festivities! The tree lighting ceremony begins at 6:00 and activities go until 8:30—you're welcome to stay as long or as little as you'd like. Please let Taylor know if you plan on attending so she knows who to look for.
Gift cards for college students. We are sending Amazon gift cards to our 12 college students for the end of the semester. If you would like to make a small contribution of cash or an Amazon card that would be greatly appreciated. There is a collection basket at church. For questions please contact Susie Griffin or Karen Williams.

Torchy's with Taylor. Join Taylor after church this Sunday, November 19, for Torchy's! She will pick up the chips and queso, so please bring money for any other food you'd like to eat. This is a middle and high school event.
Pie Sunday. We will wrap up the celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday with a day of pies on Sunday, November 26. Please bring your favorite pie to share with everyone. Stay after worship for the fun and good eating that day!

Are you in 7th through 12th grade and interested in volunteering in the nursery on Sundays? If you are willing to help out, please contact Kathy Humen or contact the Abiding Grace office.
The Annual Advent Dinner and Variety Show will be Sunday, December 3, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. The Men's Group will be cooking turkey and ham for the dinner. Donations will be accepted to benefit the youth group and their weeks at confirmation camp and the ELCA Youth Gathering in Houston this summer. Sign up to be in the Variety Show at church. Whether you consider yourself very talented, mildly entertaining, cute, funny or just enjoy taking the stage, we want you! Come join in and invite your friends for an evening of fun, food and fellowship to begin the Advent Season.
GRACE cooking oil. A big thank you for all who contributed to the October Rush. We surpassed our goal of 175 and ended up with 190 bottles of oil. Abiding Grace continues to support GRACE throughout the year, but this helps with the increased needs during the holidays.

The cost is $10 per plant—please pay by placing a check in the offering plate marked “Poinsettias.” Sign up at church through November 26. You can dedicate your plant in honor or memory of a loved one.
