What have typewriters got to do with electric cars?
Despite Politicians bold statements on the Electric Car and the end of petrol and diesel we simply don't know the answers to so many questions.
You see, in many ways it's a 'Pioneer' time again.

Back in the early 1900's, my grandfather was part of the pioneering days of the motor car, they watched it develop with no concept of how it would revolutionise travel. We are now in a new period again as we are about to witness in the coming years a new car revolution. The Electric Revolution.

By the way, did you know that some of the early incarnations of the car were electric driven? It was not until petrol became readily available as 'Gas' in the USA that this persuaded car developers to ditch electric for petrol engine design!

Funny how it's going to come a full circle back to the beginning! Imagine, had petrol not become readily available back then what difference would that of made to how the car developed?
We don't want to end up like the Imperial Company did!
As you can imagine I read every article I can on this subject, every blog post! Recently we took a group of our guys from Field's to Ford's Training academy in Daventry. We attended their training day where we looked at this whole subject.
As a garage we need to look ahead to how we will fit into this emerging electric world.

Who remembers using a typewriter?
We don't want to end up like some of the typewriter maintenance companies did when personal computers arrived on the scene! You can imagine the 'workshop talk' at the Imperial typewriter company back in the 70's...

"What do you mean, computers will take over? People will always need a typewriter!"
We may be 'Field's Car Centre' now?
But heh we are looking ahead and we want to be around in the future.
Maybe one day we'll be 'Field's Electric Car Centre'.
Wonder if I will still be writing e mails then??
