The First Fifty Years of Relief Society: Key Documents in Latter-day Saint Women’s History, published in February 2016, has also received several honors. LDSPPA awarded The First Fifty Years of Relief Society the 2016 Praiseworthy Award for Collective Works. The book also received the 2017 Smith-Pettit Foundation Best Documentary Book Award at the Utah State History Conference in October. Finally, last week the Western History Association gave the book the Dwight L. Smith (ABC-CLIO) Award, which is granted to the creators or publishers of a significant bibliography or research tool that covers an aspect of the history of the American West.
