A message from the Bath BID

The Christmas Market is just around the corner bringing thousands of visitors to the city.  We have been working hard with our partners at Visit Bath to ensure that people discover all of the city's attractions whilst they are here.

Apart from the market, we can report that it is already snowing in Southgate and if you're looking for a charming community focussed event, the Walcot Lantern Procession is something you won't want to miss.

We are proud of the work we do for the work we do for Bath's Evening & Night-time Economy through the Night Watch initiative. We have received some great feedback to-date and are now in preparation for the city's reassessment for the Purple Flag on Friday (24th November) this week.

This year’s brand-new celebration will showcase the heritage of Northumberland Place, and The Corridor. The Dickensian Christmas events will keep the magic of Christmas alive for the city after the market has gone. This is an event for all ages on the three Thursdays (7th, 14th and 21st) in December.

With a city as beautiful as ours, it's no surprise that the McDonalds location scouts chose Bath as the city of choice for their Christmas TV ad this year. It is great to see Bath and Bristol's fantastic locations in the spotlight together, with Bristol being recognised as a UNESCO City of Film earlier this November.

I'm looking forward to the Get Fit for Business networking round table breakfast. It will be a great opportunity to hear from local businesspeople and find out how things are going in the Bath businesses

Keeping the magic of Christmas alive for the city after the market has gone, an event for all ages on the three Thursdays (7th, 14th, 21st) in December.

Join us for a traditional celebration inspired by one of Bath’s famous residents; and step back in time to a Dickensian Christmas.

We are looking forward to some very enjoyable Christmas shopping in this unspoilt historic pedestrian area of the city which will come to life with costumed characters, singing and music and delicious festive treats. And you may even see the first signs of snow...

Don't miss the special prize hamper with goodies from all the shops in Northumberland Place and The Corridor.

The BID is very excited to present such an exciting event series this December in partnership with Conegate.

Christmas Market Watch

The Christmas market is just around the corner, the BID Rangers will be out and about in the city keeping the city clean, monitoring the Chalets and providing information as coach parties arrive during the 23 November - 10 December period.

Country Living Festival – Special Bath Businesses rates for exhibiting

Fantastic Discount for Bath BID Businesses to get involved.

At its heart will be a celebration of small rural businesses, talented crafts people, artisans and designers. Bath will become a hub of creativity and rural inspiration with residents and visitors enjoying curated shopping, pop-up workshops, business events, supper clubs, celebrity talks, music, entertainment and an abundance of children’s activities.

Producers, makers and designers from the West Country and beyond will be showcased in artisan markets, hands-on workshops and shopping events.

Southgate Street Snow

It’s snowing in SouthGate.

The snow will be falling throughout December, gather round to experience an enchanted display of falling snow every hour at St Lawrence Street North and South. Breathtaking icicle chandeliers are suspended high above to light your way as you shop. 

Exciting new development at No 15 who have announced the opening of a new Spa. Spa 15 has four themed treatment rooms, a large cedar wood hot tub within exposed stone vaults, a barrel-shaped sauna, and separate steam room.
