Is this Rudolph in the Barren Pumice Desert?

With just 36 days to go before Christmas, reports have arrived from Winter Wonderland that Rudolph has not returned from his annual migration. The implications are enormous – how can Father Christmas deliver his presents all over the world on Christmas Eve without his lead reindeer? Will Rudolph return in time?
Several unconfirmed sightings suggest that Rudolph may be traversing the Great & Dark Barrens - a desert of Pumice and scrub, with near invisible crevasses, capable in a split second, of swallowing a whole herd of reindeer. If this is true, then Christmas truly is in jeopardy.

 This year we ordered all of our Scottish seaweed in the late summer. This meant it was harvested in its prime, when it is most abundant and bursting with minerals and goodness. The seaweed is dried the traditional way on racks and we dry it further before we pack it. To use it, just stand some in water and make an extract.
The seaweed can be applied directly on the skin or hair and besides its remineralising and detoxyifying action, we love it especially for its conditioning effect due to the presence of slippery fucins. Every time I wash my hair with Rhassoul, I am soaking my Seaweed in water, preparing my hair conditioner.
The Seaweed solution works brilliantly as natural hair conditioner, as it leaves the hair soft and silky (with very little aroma) but the hair still has body. In contrast to normal hair conditioners, the hair doesn't go lank after a few days.
You might also have noticed how we have pioneered using the Seaweed extract when making up our natural hair dyes. Henna and indigo rinse out so much more easily when they are hydrated with seaweed extract, very little hair is lost in the rinsing process and the coloured hair is left perfectly soft and shiny. I really do think that this seaweed is the ultimate hair conditioner.

We missed the opportunity to promote the newly commissioned 2 liter amphora as soon as they came over from the Spanish 4th generation potter. Don't worry, no more numbers because almost a soon as I had placed them on the website a customer more or less bought the whole consignment and that made zero.
I have subsequently had more of these small and perfect water purification and energizing pots made.
Roughly the size of an A4 sheet of paper, the little amphora is very easy to handle, easy to carry and can purify upto 6 liters of tap water per day, with three fills.
The clay pots provide the best natural low-tech option for providing water storage, carrying and purifying of tap water. Reducing chloride and nitrate levels and performing a myriad of other purifying functions, our drinking and cooking water becomes better for us in many ways... tastier, purer in aroma, more energized and more thirst quenching.
Any chloride which has done its job of destroying microbes in tap water, should be eliminated because chloride kills stomach bacteria, effecting the whole of the digestive process and it can cause candida overgrowth. Chloride is so reactive and create even more dangerous compounds in the water such as Trihalomethanes (THMs), one of which is chloroform. THMs increase the production of free radicals in the body and are highly carcinogenic (cancer causing).
Nitrates, much of which are derived from run off into the water system from farm fertilizers and sewage are linked to baby deaths, cancers, hypertension and nitrates converts easily into nitration's which cause more ill effects.
Well anyway, these Amphora, even without their honorary PhD and post doctorates or indeed any modern science at all, can deal with a range of toxins and make our water much healthier and more enjoyable to drink.

 Black Pumice Stones, Even though Rudolph might be lost in the pumice desert, a humble pumice stone is still number one for removing hard skin on the feet and he is sure to emerge with very tidy hooves.
The pumice work even better with Hemp Oil Soap as it softens the skin first, giving a better finish and making the pumicing less tickly!
 The back brush made of beech wood and boar bristles also works wonders with the Hemp Oil Soap.
That brings us neatly onto to sponges, of which the archetypal bath sponge is the honeycomb sponge.
 When I was a child, every bathroom contained a pumice, a back brush and a sponge. It is story book simplicity and I doubt these traditional resources will ever be surpassed in their efficacy.

I'd like to thank the Suffolk Gild of Ringers for giving me a lovely cup of tea, for being so friendly, and or inviting me to have a go. I was never expecting to help ring the final toll. STOP PRESS...Possible New Sighting of Rudolph

... There has been a confirmed reindeer sighting on its edge of the Pumice desert. The new photograph from an undisclosed source suggests that a reindeer, possibly Rudolph may be about the exit this inhospitable land. If so, this is good news and we might still have a small chance of having Christmas this year.
We will be following Rudolph's progress over the weeks leading up to Christmas. He still seems to be a long way from Winter Wonderland so we will definately keep up with his journey and keep you informed.

We use a freight forwaring service called Webinterpret to deliver parcels securely abroad. Non-UK customers coming onto our website will be forwarded to the 'foreign version of our website' where the shop appears in their local currency with very cost effective, tracked shipping.
When these orders are processed we send them first to Webinterpret, the postal forwarder, in the UK and they send them on securely to the foreign customer where ever they are in the world. I would suggest adding at least another week onto the foreign delivery times, especially around Christmas, if you are abroad!
