35% of People Coming Into The Cannabis Industry Took a Major Pay Cut
November 5, 2017
  • As reported by 1,741 self-selected respondents in New Frontier Data’s 2017 Diversity in Cannabis Report co-sponsored with Women Grow, 46% of cannabis industry professionals took a cut in pay to join their respective enterprise.
  • More than 4x as many respondents (35%) said they took a “big” pay cut to join the industry compared to those (8%) who enjoyed a “big” pay raise.
  • That 35% reporting a “big” pay cut equaled all of those respectively reporting having the same pay (14%), taking a “small” pay cut (11%), or accepting a “small” pay raise (10%).
