Catharsis plays Smalls on Nov. 8 and a very cool multimedia solo bone/synth/scultpure show at iBeam on Nov. 10/11!
Hello friends! I've just returned from Japan (and dealing with the horrible jet lag that comes with it) where Catharsis made our debut in a trio format. Camila, Jorge, and I explored the many sonic and musical possibilities that voice/guitar, trombone/synth/piano, and bass can produce and had a BLAST doing it. Lots of picture here.
November has a lot of fun stuff coming up including our final 2017 Catharsis NYC appearance this Wednesday, Nov. 8th, at Smalls where we'll premier my newest composition commissioned by Chamber Music America's New Jazz Works program funded by the Doris Duke Foundation.
Then, visual artist, Caleb Nussear, and I will present our multimedia performance piece at iBeam Brooklyn on Nov. 10th and 11th, plus I'll lead a band at Ronnie Scott's in London on Nov. 16th! Also, two tours of Europe with Darcy James Argue & my new project, Reverso, co-led with Frank Woeste. Full schedule here and ticket info below!
