The Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Agenda represents one of the most critical and widely-lauded United Nations agendas promoting international peace and security. Inclusivity in conflict prevention, resolution, and stabilization has proven to lead to more sustainable peace and societal stability. Despite this, women’s leadership and vital contributions remain largely absent in prevention and peacebuilding efforts.

November 15th from 3-4:15pm that will examine how the U.S. Government, UN agencies, international NGOs, local women’s groups, and others can work together to finally break through persistent barriers and ensure that girls and women are at the forefront of bringing stability, security, and peace to their countries.

UN Commission on the Status of Women Study Trek Information Session
Come to this information session to learn more about joining the trek in March 2018! It will be held on
Wednesday, November 8th from 12-1:00pm in Nitze 517. Note that priority for the trek will be given to those enrolled in the Spring 2018 course, "Women, Peace, and Security: Moving Beyond the Myths"
