CBDC Recorders’ Conference
This annual event is nearly upon us, with only a small number of spaces remaining! The conference is on Saturday 18th November from 10am – 4.30pm, with registration starting at 9.30am. If you would like to attend please contact Stuart the Recording Officer by email recordingofficer@cbdc.org.uk or phone (01228) 618717. The conference programme can be found on our website at the following page:
http://www.cbdc.org.uk/CBDC_Conference/Programme_Web.pdf
Tea and coffee in the morning and afternoon will be supplied. Lunch is not supplied, but the restaurant at Tullie House Museum will be open, and will also accept pre-ordering of lunch to reduce waiting time (available in the morning at registration). There are also other food outlets and cafes nearby.
Recorders
Many thanks to everyone who have sent in records to add to our database. We hope you have had/are having a great recording season. All your species records are valuable to us, whether the species is perceived to be rare or common. If you have any more records lurking at home in notebooks, in spreadsheets, on whiteboards etc. we shall be glad to receive them. Please check around to ensure you have sent them to us. Many thanks.
County Recorders / Verifiers
Thank you for your extremely valuable work. You turn the records we receive at CBDC into the highest quality records with your verifications – not all record centres can say that! If you are having any problems with verifying your current batch of 2016 records, please let me know and I shall try to help you sort them out. Many thanks.
Volunteers
Another thank you, this time to all our volunteers, whether they work at the CBDC inputting records, undertaking GIS projects, helping with administrative work or those who  come along to survey at our recording days and other events.
2018…
Keep an eye open for our programme of recording days, training events and projects in 2018. These will be shown on our website www.cbdc.org.uk, partner organisations’ websites, in future newsletters and facebook (once I’ve mastered it) etc.
Look forward to seeing you.
