Call for International Prize Nominations – February 16, 2018 Deadline

The nomination process for the following International Prizes, to be presented at the Biennial Meeting of the International Society for Eye Research in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK September 9-13, 2018, is now open!
Your nominations are encouraged! The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 16, 2018. Please visit the ISER website at www.iser.org to review the descriptions and qualifications for each prize.
Complete and submit the Nomination Form by the deadline for consideration. Candidates who are nominated will be asked to complete a Candidate Acceptance Form.
Nominations are ONLY accepted from ISER members whose dues are current. If you have paid your 2017 dues, you may submit a nomination. If you have not paid your 2017 membership dues, but intend on renewing your membership for 2018, you may submit an award nomination once your 2018 dues have been paid. Please contact the ISER office if you have questions about dues, or need assistance making a payment.
The prizes are:
- Endre A. Balazs Prize – for outstanding contributions to significant progress in the field of experimental eye research - sponsored by ISER
- Ernst H. Bárány Prize – for outstanding contributions in research that increases our understanding of ocular pharmacology directly related to or applicable to glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, or related retinal diseases - sponsored by ISER
- Retina Research Foundation’s Paul Kayser International Award in Retina Research – for outstanding achievement in retina research and sustaining meritorious scientific investigations worldwide - offered in collaboration with the Retina Research Foundation
- Ludwig von Sallmann Prize – for a major contribution to vision research and/or ophthalmology - offered in collaboration with The Ludwig von Sallmann Trust
