As the longest standing art center in Alameda and also voted the Best Art Gallery in 2017, the Frank Bette Center for the arts shines out as a special space that provides for the appreciation and expression of the arts in Alameda. As a non-profit, volunteer-driven art center, funding is often very tight for us. We also need to face the realities of operating out of an 1898 Victorian building that requires frequent upgrading and maintenance. Our goal today is to raise $8500 to overhaul and upgrade our second floor electrical service (currently only 50 amp) and to install new classroom lighting. This will allow us to increase our class offerings and art group meeting space availability which in turn will increase our cash flow.
