The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy!

I am just so grateful to the Lord for all that He has done and is doing in my life! I am even more thrilled for the season I am in now, which is Home Assignment since mid-July. Yayyy!!!! What a joy to just sit back and relax. Africa was just too much excitement... I would definitely say that my time in Guinea this year was a good experience. We went to so many new places, I started learning a new language and the culture is different from Senegal. So what's Leah's Latest News???? Well after all these years of hard work and sacrifices we have finally gotten to the point where by God's grace we have a people group to work with!!! Yes indeed and they are the Susu people group in Guinea. So I know some of you all are like what??? Guinea? What happened to Senegal? Well, the Lord works in mysterious ways. I for one did not see this coming, but as time goes along I am convinced that this is the Lord's will for my life. Even though Guinea seems a bit more unstable than Senegal, I see God's hand of protection on my life through this decision. I can honestly say that going back to Guinea and living there long term will be a step of faith for me. It will have it's unique set of challenges but I am trusting the Lord to strengthen me mentally and physically to deal with these adjustments. I will be flying back to Senegal early December and then to Guinea afterwards.
So what have I been up too?
I had a great time at the Caribbean brethren Conference in Trinidad. It was such a blessing to hear the different speakers and to see the growth of the assemblies.
I also thoroughly enjoyed myself in Union Island( St Vincent and the Grenadines) doing VBS. It was amazing we had about 134 children and quite a few made professions of faith.
Then there was camp up at Victory Heights and we celebrated 50 years in the camping ministry. God has just been so good to us. I was so encouraged to see certain campers using their talents to serve the Lord and their personal desire to move forward and develop spiritually. I am even more encouraged to see that even though camp has finished, some have been fasting and really trying to get closer to God.
Some added blessings were to celebrate my birthday back in Trinidad along with my mom and sister's birthday as well. As I look back on life, only the Lord could have done it. When I said yes to God back in 2009 and left for Bible school in 2010 I would have never imagined that my life would have turned out this way! Now eight years down the road and turning 27, I still wouldn't change anything, I love the Lord even more because He is everything, my One and Only.

Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for the remaining time that I have in Trinidad (until Oct 4th) that it would go well and that I would be able to accomplish everything.
  • Please pray for the rest of the presentations that I would have to get done before leaving Trinidad including going to Jamaica.
  •  Please pray for my continued strength and encouragement to walk this christian life.
Thank you immensely for your continued prayers and support in helping me take the Gospel to the unreached!
Your sister in Christ,
Leah Joslyn
