Wyldwood Theatre Company presents:

Revolution

"I saw the spark, the flinted stone, strike a cord and sparking burn."

As the dust of the industrial revolution settles over a new era, a visionary generation of idealists is rising, throwing their voice skywards, they shout for equality and a fairer world for all. A peaceful Cambridge street, a textile mill and an abandoned tailors shop become the centre of an elaborate battle of wits, sparking the beginnings of change for five bright young Victorians.
A tale of madness and marvel, beautiful minds and extraordinary people.

Reviews- Romeo and Juliet
The John Peel Theatre has been producing theatre of every description since 1952, but has never tackled the Bard until now. This season, director Connie Jensen was determined to raise the company's aspirations and produced a performance of Romeo and Juliet last Friday and Saturday to near full houses.
Performed within a modernist bare "black box" stage, one forgot at times that you were watching amateur actors. The Shakespearian verse was delivered with unfaltering diction and passion, coupled with superb acting.

I thought the performance of Romeo and Juliet was excellent! I've never been a one for Shakespeare before, finding it difficult to understand. The cast of Romeo and Juliet were so committed to the words, and told the story so well that I was pulled into it and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
