Crafting for a Cause

Saturday, September 23rd at 1:00pm

Clean out those closets and bring your old t-shirts to create tug toys for shelter dogs! One t-shirt makes one toy. Larger-sized adult t-shirts work best. Scissors and instructions will be provided. Completed toys will be donated to Detroit Shelter Animal Advocacy for distribution to local shelters. https://detroitshelteranimaladvocacy.wordpress.com/ 

Students collecting community service hours will receive an hour of credit for attending this session and making a dog toy, with an option to earn additional hours.

This is an all ages event, but the craft may be too complex for very young children. Registration is required.

Make and Take Sauerkraut

Wednesday, September 13th at 7:00pm

Join us for a Make and Take Kraut Workshop. This free event will start with a demonstration by Renee Pokoj on how to make fermented sauerkraut. Then we’ll make our own batch! Samples will available during class and everyone will leave with their own jar of sauerkraut.

Origami Workshop

Saturday, September 30th at 1:00 pm



 
Join us for an Origami Workshop. We'll learn the basics of origami and do a project ourselves. While this workshop is geared toward a general audience, it may not be suitable for small children.

We will be discussing fundraiser ideas, which include our fresh roasted coffee beans sale, with Che Cosa, we will be doing in November.
