Making Friends & Moving Couches
Why is there a big orange couch on the Community Groups brochure? I’ve been asked that question over and over as people look at our new publication.
The answer is simple - a couch can illustrate quickly how deeply you are connected. Let’s try it. If you needed to move a couch, whom would you call? It’s a big couch so let’s say you need...

God at Work
The first time I have ever experienced God was when I just entered community college. My friends from high school invited me to their churches to hang out with them.
At that moment of my life, I did not feel the need of God and I considered myself a pure atheist. This belief is old in my family, and all I know is that it was passed down from one generation to the next. Almost half of my family members are in a scientific field and the other half believe in Confucianism. Therefore, I had never been exposed to it in my life and I stood against it simply because it was foreign and against Chinese tradition.
However, God had a plan for me regardless of what I believed at that time...

“Plug-in” with Sermon Based Discussion
Beginning August 27, 11:30-12:30.
Ever have questions about the sermon? Want some “deliverables” to take home about how to apply the passage? Want to connect with others in a small group setting? “Plug-in” is for both newcomers, those not connected at EvFree and those who have been around for years. Each week we will talk through questions from Darin’s message. In small groups of 6-8 people, it is an easy time to get to know others and better understand the day’s Bible text. David Fletcher, our Executive Pastor will lead “Plug-in” from 11:30-12:30 each Sunday morning in the Commons.
