All The Way From Bolivia

August 2017
Dear Friends & Partners;

Things continue to move rapidly in our work in Bolivia, and we are excited about what God is doing! Over the last several months, we have asked you to pray about several different things. In the sections below, you will find photos and details about some of these items:

1. An update our our New Auditorium at The Light Baptist Church.
2. A report on the Hora Feliz in the neighborhood of 7th of October.
3. A Report on the Hora Feliz in the neighborhood of Los Laureles.
4. A couple short Salvation stories.
5. Some Prayer Requests.

As we build on the things that have been done in the short time we've been back in Bolivia, there are some exciting things on the horizon. We have a young woman in our church that travels over an hour to attend services. She has asked us to come to her town and consider beginning a work to reach her community. We have two young men who travel three hours a couple times a month to work in Tarija. While in our city, they attend our services. We are praying about going to their town, Bermejo, to hold special meetings. From there, we will evaluate and pray about launching something more substantial. Additionally, we have learned there are about 300 English speakers in the city of Tarija. We are looking into the possibility of beginning an English Bible Study to reach out to them. We have not set a time table for these activities as our hands are pretty full at the moment. However, we hope to make progress on them in the coming months.

As you can see, there is quite a bit to do, and we are blessed to have the opportunity to serve God among the Bolivian people. Please pray for us in the work here as we pray for you in the work there.

We love you, and we remain your hands and feet on the ground in Bolivia!

The New Auditorium is about 80% completed and in use. However, there are still opportunities to help out if you wish. If you're interested; please let us know and we can provide further details.
We asked you to pray and help us with a new building. However, here is what you really invested in...
It's the People that make the difference! The building is great and we are very thankful that it is coming together so fast. However, the building is a means of reaching people with the Gospel. These pictures are from a couple of special meetings we had as we began using the new facility. In the coming weeks we will have a Family Conference and celebrate the Churches anniversary.
The Hora Feliz in the Community of the 7th of October
We asked you to pray for a couple of new ministries we would be launching in August; "Kid's Clubs". We call these clubs an "Hora Feliz", and they are great way to reach into a a new community. This one was in a neighborhood called "7th of October" where there is no Gospel preaching Church. As we launched this new ministry, we had about 45 kids and 10 adults make a profession of faith in Christ. The next morning many of these new Believers were in the services at our main Church!
The Hora Feliz in the Community of Los Laureles
We also launched an Hora Feliz in a community called Los Laureles. This Club is in an area where there is no running water and very few of the houses have electricity. At the first meeting of this group, we had many in attendance with another 40 children and 8 adults making a profession of Faith in Christ as their Savior.
A couple of Salvation Stories
You never know what circumstances God might use to save a soul. The young man in the picture on the left is Gabriel. He was helping us pour the concrete floor in our building. There was a work stoppage due to a lack of water. While the men were taking a break, they had the opportunity to share the Gospel and Gabriel called on the name of Jesus to save Him.

In the picture on the right, you see Sandra, Helen, and Nelbi. Many people had witnessed to Nelbi over the years to no avail. However, while helping us with a visiting Missions Team, she heard the Gospel and asked God to save her from her sins.

What a blessing that God uses ordinary circumstances and people to carry the Good News to those who need to hear it!

Prayer Requests

1. For the Ministries in the two new Communities.
2. That our Discipleship Ministry flourishes.
3. For people to be saved and others return to the lord.
4. For the Spiritual growth of our dear Bolivian people.
5. Our upcoming Family Conference.
6. Our church anniversary.
7. For new works on the horizon.
