WORK SMART / SLASH CAREERS

5 key reasons to participate in the 2nd International Colloquium on Job & Top Sharing in Basel, Switzerland

The 2nd Colloquium on Job & Top Sharing will soon take place at the Novartis Campus in Basel on November 6, 2017. This event is an exclusive opportunity to learn more about this topic in our ever-changing work environment with the participations of 9 countries (with simultaneous translation in English, German and French).

Here are the key reasons as to why we would like to meet you there.

1. Work Smart: Understand how digitalization optimizes job and top sharing

Digitalization creates a great challenge as well as an opportunity for HR and Management Departments of companies. For Job & Top Sharers, the use of digital technologies in the work-place provides a faster connectivity between partners and strongly facilitate the implementation of job sharing. It also increases the ability to work more horizontally in the work environment. Our speakers and panelists will help you figure out how digitalization will shape a better workplace.

2. Learn more about Slash Careers

Ms. Marci Alboher, author of the best-selling book "One Person/Multiple Careers: The Original Guide to the Slash Careers", will appear via live video during a colloquium panel. Several slashers on the panels will provide testimonials about their current experience. Employees and freelancers will gain a better understanding of the benefits of having multiple careers at the same time. Employers will see how they can benefit from having employees with slash careers.

3. Discover Best Practices and Job Sharing Awards

Many jobsharing duos from several economic sectors will be present at the colloquium sharing their experience with the public. At the close of the Colloquium, three best case practicing duos from diverse work environments will be awarded. These people who have been proving over and over that job and top sharing can efficiently work.

If you are interested in participating in the Job Sharing Awards as job or top sharers, it's not too late, just fill in the form here!

4. Observe how job sharing can help us to make the workplace more equal and diverse

Job sharing is one of the efficient tools for companies and institutions who desire to encourage more gender equality at work. Ms. Sylvie Durrer, Director of the Swiss Federal Office for Gender Equality, will address this topic as well as multiple panelists will share their experience about the opportunities offered by Job and Top Sharing for both women and men in the plenum.

5. Learn how Job Sharing can foster entrepreneurship and innovation

In many top and innovative companies in the tech industry, most of them had two founders, probably the best proof that job sharing can do wonders. It will also be a recurring theme throughout the panels, with many Job Sharing and Diversity experts from top companies (see program) sharing their insights.
