Dear Parents and Girls

The weeks fly by as they are so full of exciting opportunities for your daughter(s) to be expressing or challenging herself. Thank you to the Grade 11 Dance committee (pictured) for all they did to make the Matric Dance such a special occasion.

This past weekend was a very busy one with Drama, Sport, Music and Debating. Thank you to Mr Skelly and the Drama girls for their hard work at perfecting this year’s production.  Thank you to the Sports Department, players, First Aiders, coaches and teachers in charge for all the hard work in making the Rhenish ‘derby’ weekend a success. Also a big thank you to all the parents making and serving food at the tuck shop.  Thank you to Mr van Dyk and his Debating Team for the hard work over the past few weeks.

I’m sure those of you who are attending the Art and Design exhibition tonight would agree that the girls have produced work of an outstanding standard.  Thank you to the Visual Arts  & Design Department for all the guidance and challenge given to the girls so they can explore an express themselves through this medium.

We are very excited about Alumnet, our new, user friendly and secure portal for past pupils, allowing them to update their details and list themselves in the Rustenburg Alumni network.  So if you are a past pupil of the school or know anyone who is, please check your information on https://rustenburg.alumnet.co.za.  If you would like to purchase an advertising slot on this portal then please do contact the Marketing Office at  info@rghs.org.za.

Our Matrics have been involved in doing some of their orals, practical and music assessments for the Preliminary Examinations.  I wish them all well as they gear up for their first practice run at the real thing. Matrics, do enjoy this opportunity to see what you still need to pay attention to for the finals. We look forward to celebrating your successes with you.

Regards
Michael Gates, Principal
