SITHEBE TO DISCUSS WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT IN BRAZIL


Ayanda Sithebe, a Biotechnology Master’s degree student at the Institute for Water and Wastewater at the Faculty of Applied Sciences will head to the Sᾶo Paulo State Advanced School on Integrated Water Resource Management, next week.

Sithebe has been selected to participate in the International Institute of Ecology, Management and Water Resources competition to take place from the 2 to 15 September 2017.

A BIGGER TURN-OUT FOR ‘FIRST THINGS FIRST’ CAMPAIGN

The amount of students that attended the 2017 second semester’s HIV/AIDS Centre’s ‘First Things First’ campaign saw an increase in numbers.
 
The 2017 second semester ‘First Things First’ campaign was held from 14 to the 18 of August 2017 at the five Durban campuses. This campaign is held every semester and scores of students get tested for HIV, engage in open lifestyle discussions, counselling and guidance on how to live a healthy lifestyle.

The Durban University of Technology Post-Graduate Association in partnership with the Directorate for Research and Postgraduate support reached out to the Inanda community as part of their outreach programme, on Tuesday, 22 August 2017.
