Phosphorus Tester Needed

Please consider volunteering as our Phosphorus Tester. Contact us for details or speak with us at the AGM.

 

Duty Details:

  • Test Phosphorus & Water Clarity
  • one location - mid-lake
  • once per month - May to October - starting 2018
  • testing supplies received in mail from Lake Partner Program
  • mail samples to Lake Partner Program


Training & Support

  • Training is provided
  • Procedures - as posted to Kawartha Lake Stewards Association website
  • Kawartha Lake Stewards & Lake Partner Program provide support


Importance of monitoring Phosphorus levels & water clarity

  • we need to track the health of our lake and take action before serious problems arise
  • high phosphorus levels increase algae and weed growth
