Welcome to AgroCycle's Newsletter

This Newsletter is to let you know what we've been up to and inform you of possible events that might be of interest to you around Europe.

AgroCycle is a H2020 funded project that will undertake a holistic analysis of agri-food waste value chains, from farm-to-table, including livestock and crop production, food processing and the retail sector. It will address a wide range of valorisation pathways, including: bio-fuels, high value-added biopolymers, energy and microbial fuel cells.

Sneak Peak at the Case Studies the Project is Working on

Dr. Caitlin Burns, NNFCC (AgroCycle project partner), has working on some case studies for future project deliverables on sustainable value chains and business models. Here is a sneak peak at some of them:

Project Events

We are delighted to announce that our project has joined forces with NoAW (another H2020 project) to host a conference in Brussels on the 17th October this year.

The Agri-Food Waste Day Conference will bring together innovators, educators, policy makers, public and private industries to discuss circular economy challenges and activities in the agri-food sectors. The event will take the opportunity to teach attendees about food waste value chains, business models and  the new technologies and techniques that are available as well as giving an overview of each of the H2020 project (AgroCycle and NoAW).

Over the coming weeks, we will update you on speakers, talks, case studies and events that will take place on the day.

If you are interested in attending the event, please contact AgroCycle@ucd.ie to register your interest.
