Lucky we are so young. When people inquired how could Hugh and Shabari sustain their heavy travel and teaching schedule, I would always answer, Lucky we are so young. Well Hugh had a real health challenge recently being hospitalized for six days with Atrial Fribulation after consulting on 30 dairy farms in seven days. Hugh is coming back to rhythm now, however we had to re-evaluate our life style.
We consulted with dear friend Glen Atkinson:garudabd.org
Astrologer, Gardener, Homeopath and Philosopher to elucidate on Hugh's  health status using astrology. Glen put our charts on the skype screen . especially of intrest is the very sobering transits for Hugh and Shabar (birthdays 5 eay apart in the same year). It is clear that Saturn  transiting on Pluto could lead to very serious outcomes.

Well our decision is we need to be on one continent and one hemisphere for at  least two years. We are blessed to be dual citizens of Australia and the US and , have deep friendships, businesses, homes, gardens, trees and family on both continents.
For two years now I often confuse months because September in Wiangaree, NSW Australia is early spring  with the mangoes, manderines, guava, sapote are all blooming While in north georgia it is the blistering day so summer ending. Soon will come leaves changing color and browing and disappearing till next March.
Our biological clocks require one consitent transit of the seasons and growing seasons.
We also require a place to continue our teaching and writing work. In our coming elder years we will be able to share our knowledge, humor and wisdom with less stress to our bodies.
This past two weeks have been agonizing in that I have so fallen in love the village of Wiangaree, New South Wales. A village of 40 homes, general store/post and most beautiful pastoral and mountain views. The wonderful neighbors and bocce games in the community hall lawn today, Our fruit forest  on our little homestead/cottage. I have grieved of seperating my beloved companion Toto who is the village ambassoress. She will go to live with her other parents Lee and Warren on their estuary prawn trawler till we can bring her to the US.

We have decided to return to Birdsnest in Blairsville, GA for two years. We will have short trips to Europe and Hugh will continue to work with the Dairy Business Center and other clients in Australia for one month.
We will finally be able to garden year round, Shabari will grow flowers, Hugh will grow apprentices and demonstration gardens. And we will have my children visit often.

Birdsnest will become the home to our Quantum Agirculture and Secrets of the Soil teachings, we will develop our streaming workshops and classes and have full time year round apprenticeship program.
And finally we put the Christopher Bird Archives and library in order.
So dear friends around the globe, we are doing the best we can to be in strong vital bodies to continue to serve our committment to the earth covered with humic soils.

Colorado November 2016 Travels to Delta County, Colorado . 80% certified organics and 50% of those are Biodynamic.  Pat Fraser  invited Hugh and Barefoot farmer Jeff Poppen to visit biodynamic farms in Colorado. Hugh I returned to visit Delta County to install a Fieldbroadcaster at the home of Mary Di Franco and Bobby Orlando where we spent Thanksgiving feast with abundant biodynamic food and inspiring conversations.  Photo below.
Pagosa Springs, Colorado.  My grandparents used to drive from Brownsville, TX to Pagosa Springs every year with their daughter, Christine Ferguson, Shabari's mother. I can only imagine the four day journey in their 1932 Ford V-8 Cabriolet. Driving the steep mountain passes of Colorado is no light weight feat. My monther spent a month a year in Pagosa area for nine years of her youth. They came for the cool and mostly for the fishing. We go there for the hot springs.

When crossing border from New Mexico, we came across this heritage train station and adjacent to it was a Green Cross Canabis Dispensery. How facinating. Photos Below.
Biodynamic Hops from Jack Hill Farm near Hotchkiss, Colorado. Other farm value added products are Wine, Gin, Vodka. https://www.jackrabbithill.com/about-us

Jack Rabbit Hill is a diversified farm located in western Colorado’s North Fork Valley, near the town of Hotchkiss. Our 70-acre property grows 18 acres of grapes, sheep, and cattle. We make JRH Farm Wines (vineyard-driven wines),  WineTapistry (keg & box wines) , CapRockMell Vodka (craft spirits) and New Avalon Grower Ciders (fermented ciders) .
What a treat to have organic/biodynamic Gin.

When it comes to making tasty products, we have our noses in the dirt as much as in the glass, because all great beverages start with clean growing practices! We started out in 2000 as a certified organic farm, and got into biodynamic farming in 2006.

Jack Rabbit Hill products are available in Colorado and throughout other U.S. and European markets. We host tours, tastings and visits year-round by appointment

Pat Frazier is one of the most dynamic woman farmers on the planet. Not only does  she volunteer as chair of the Josephine Porter Institute, she runs a successfu Biodynamic Farm. She teaches biodynamic prepmaking and supports the burial of thousands of cow horns for preparations.

Pat Frazier all drove Jeff and Hugh to meet Caren von Goderd of Rancho del Gallo Farms.

http://ranchodelgallofarm.com/aboutus.html
Caren von Goderd farmed biodynamically in Scotland and Australia before moving to Paonia to set up Rancho del Gallo Farm and Dairy. The dairy and farm are run using Homeodynamic principles learned from Enzo Nastati.
Homeodynamics strives to do just that. With increased potency of preparations resulting from the way the herbs are grown, the way the preparations are combined, the way they are diluted to spray onto the farm, every aspect of the preparations has been consciously elevated to new levels of efficacy. Sacred geometry, the use of form, sound, color, the layout of the farm organism itself, are all of utmost importance in the overall health of the farm and are some of the components considered in a homeodynamic model. The calendar as well is taken to a new level to include the changing cosmic rhythms over millennia and to include the effect of the constellations beyond the Zodiac, even to the Milky Way.
The Vapor Cave Ouray, Colorado
The soaking facilities at the Wiesbaden are fed by its continually flowing natural hot springs ranging in temperature from 102 degrees to 108 degrees. There is no recirculated water at the Wiesbaden. The water is pure as it emanates from deep under the earth’s surface and remains untreated with chemicals and additives as it continually flows through the pools. Because these waters are pure and unaltered, the medicinal and healing qualitiesof the Wiesbaden’s particular springs are widely recognized and considered "unequaled" for their therapeutic distinction.

In the 1800s, Ute Indian Chief Ouray used these waters for their curative powers. It is said that many of his visions for peace treaties and the future occured in the vapor cave.

View from the home of Mary di Franco & Bobby Orlando near Paeonia, Colorado. We are in the high Rocky Mountains now.
They are very accomplished biodynamic growers of veggies, hemp, sheep and cattle. They welcome us weary travelers for rest, recuperation, wonderful inspired and inspiring conversations and the grace of the abundance of their home grown meat and produce. and a really special Thanksgiving feast with the rice cooked on the solar cooker.

Look at the depht of this mulch on Mary and Bobby's farm

They also run a school of Sheng Zhen Gong,
Through the practice of Sheng Zhen Gong, the
heart is opened; the experience of unconditional
love becomes tangible and accessible. As the Qi
flows through the body in the practice it brings
about an experience of inner delight. This can
only be described as being in a state of love.
Slowly and naturally balance, harmony, wisdom,
compassion, joy and divine inspiration
characterize one’s existence. Man’s natural State.

Cultivation of Hemp and Cannabis by Hugh Lovel
http://quantumagriculture.com/articles/hemp-cultivation-secrets-of-the-soil/

This year we traveled in countries that have declared the use of cannabis for medicine to be legal. We met elders in Ireland, Holland and South Africa who have been prescribed CBD oil for their inflammatory diseases. We know that the best CBD comes from biologically-dynamic soils. Hugh Lovel's new article shows growers how to do this and why.
