Lost Dreams Awaken

The Founders Clean Date

Anne Browning has just celebrated 26 years free from mood altering substances. What does this mean? This means that because Anne decided to change her live around, there has been countless of the lives that have been changed for the positive as a result of coming to Steps to Recovery Homes. We are all very grateful for her continued selfless service to our communities.

Anne’s Testimony
I truly believe recovery has given me a life. I am so grateful to be blessed with the ability to give back. I have always followed my heart since being in recovery. God has given me strength to help those that are in the position I've been in. All I do is offer hope in the face of adversity. It is up to the individual as to what they will do with it. When I was looking at starting a program to help others, I know it was God's will as it all came together without me really trying. So I get to do what I love and love what I do. My hope is to build an organization that will be able to stand on it's own for years to come and to help those in the future that really want to learn a new way to live.

Testimony

Not only did I need some change in my life, I was looking for it.  I found Steps to Recovery Homes, and couldn’t even imagine the change that was about to unfold.  I struggle with Drug and Alcohol Addiction, and thanks to Steps to Recovery Homes’ very structured program, I started to learn how to become the man I knew I should be.  They took me in when I had nothing, this includes no money, and helped me grow.  The program, I feel is very in depth and quite beautiful and focuses a lot on change the destructive behaviors in you.   It also encourages living life, which I avoided most of mine.  All the while surrounded by people who want to see you succeed.  Something needed to “click” and I believe Steps to Recovery Homes was the catalyst to my “click”.  I could not thank Anne and Damien Browning enough.

Really Making the Difference

Steps to Recovery Homes has been making a difference in the lives of many people around our community for almost 4 years now. When we started we just wanted to give individuals an opportunity to find a life worth living. We have continued to touch lives and set an example for people with addiction issues. The people that come through our homes become family. We are very honest and forthcoming with them about the changes they need to make in their lives in order to be content. At first it is not easy to change but after they start changing they thank us for being honest with them and not cosigning their attitudes or behaviors.

We formed Steps to Recovery Homes for our community to be around for future generations. We wanted to have a place that really focused on the people and the changes that would be necessary to actually grow up and start to truly embrace their lives. We did not want to just apply a band-aid on the suffering they were causing to themselves and others.

It has been working and looking back on all of the trials and tribulations it has been worth it. We are not always the best liked people, and that’s ok. Being the person that stands for their beliefs is worth it in the long run.

What do we offer?

Our Program

We offer a holistic view on recovery that works. We have an affordable program that goes deeper than the surface level reasons that people abuse substances and allow our clients to start doing the work to actually change and sustain long-term recovery. We help the people that fall through the cracks with nowhere to go.

If you know someone that is suffering, Steps to Recovery Homes can make a huge difference. This program offers individuals a chance at finding a purpose in their lives.
