The NCFH has been working with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and Agriculture Victoria to design and deliver rural health workshops to their staff. Staff from the two departments joined together last month in Bendigo for the inaugural Beyond the Fence Line workshops. The owners of Three Farmers in Fosterville, Tim, Liz and Emme Harrington kindly opened their gates for the group to discuss farm safety and their family farming operation. Participants working in regulation, policy, regional development and extension were given an insight into the pressures and influences that can affect farmer health, wellbeing and safety.

The team are excited to be delivering three more workshops in the series in Melbourne, Ellinbank and Ballarat over the coming months.
