Happy Fall Everybunny!

We hope your fall season is off to a wonderful start! We have lots of activities coming up, including an Octoberfest celebration, pizza lunch, and a fun holiday event with our annual Holiday Boutique! Read on for details!

Greetings from Rikku and Kairi!

Rikku and Kairi are patiently waiting for a home of their very own. These girls are best friends, but are very friendly love to play! Rikku has a head tilt and was sick when she came to Triangle Rabbits. She has recovered very well, but still has a head tilt, giving her an inquisitive look. She is a busy, happy girl! Both girls get very excited when they see their favorite people or see treats. They love salads (cilantro, parsley, romaine, green and red leaf lettuce, kale, arugula, and more). They also love their hay, pellets, Oxbow treats, and small amounts of fruit.

Pairs like Rikku and Kairi are great for active families because they keep each other company while you are out. These girls like to cuddle together, but also like to run around and play separately, and with each other. Kairi loves cardboard boxes, digging boxes, and willow toys. Rikku likes willow toys and toss toys. Rikku follows her favorite people around the house as they do chores. She is an excellent helper!

Fall Bulb Fundraiser!

Our fall bulb fundraiser is off and running! There are some beautiful offerings in the fall catalog this year, including lilies, daffodils, and irises. Triangle Rabbits will receive 50% of the purchase price for each order! If you are shopping for bulbs for your spring garden, check it out here. For our non-gardening friends, this year they are also offering some cute wrapping paper for your holiday gifts!

Meet Duncan!

This adorable little fellow came in to a local emergency clinic with cuterebra and head tilt. The wonderful veterinarians treated his immediate needs, and contacted the SPCA of Wake County for help. Duncan has been doing great in foster care. He is the sweetest rabbit, and loves to be petted. Thanks to support from our amazing donors, we have been able to help Duncan's recovery by taking him for acupuncture. His tilt is improving with the treatments, and they also seem to make him feel relaxed and comfortable. He is almost ready to be neutered, and then will be available for adoption.

Upcoming Events

Celebrate Octoberfest, Sunday, October 15, 2 to 5 p.m. Come join us for a relaxing afternoon at Compass Rose Brewery. At this craft brewery in Northeast Raleigh, there are 10 to 12 beers on tap daily. There are accompanying refreshments available for purchase, or you may bring your own. In addition, there are games available including corn hole, a giant Jenga and dart boards. We'll be there from 2 to 5 p.m.

Pizza at Mellow Mushroom - American Tobacco Campus, Durham, Sunday, November 12, 1:30 p.m. Join us for pizza at this downtown Durham historic site, preserving the physical legacy of one of America's great entrepreneurial success stories. After lunch, we'll take a self-guided walking tour of the campus or visit The Scrap Exchange to get supplies and inspiration for holiday crafts!

Annual Holiday Boutique at Happy Holiday Tails! This upcoming holiday party and fundraiser will be on Sunday, December 3, from 1pm-4pm at AniMall Pet Adoption and Outreach Center. We will have a wonderful gift table with plenty of toys and handmade items for people and bunnies. Start your holiday shopping here and help Triangle area bunnies at the same time!

Our Bunny Butler program with AniMall Pet Adoption and Outreach Center is coming back!! AniMall has a new partnership with Unleashed, a locally owned pet supply store. They have returned to normal business hours, and will be restocking the store with lots of goodies. That's great news for the foster bunnies, and they are busy recruiting new volunteers to bring greens, give pets, get them out for exercise, and help with light housekeeping.
